Lymphatic Massage, or "Manual Lymph Drainage" as described by the Dr. Vodder School, can help with a variety of conditions and procedures.
Lymphatic Massage is gentle, rhythmic, non-painful on the whole. The therapist follows the lymphatic pathways on the skin surface, pushing the skin with the lymph, in the direction it should drain.
This is not the brushing technique. It is the "manual" technique with no machines used. One can relax and fall asleep during a session.
Karen is Certified by the Dr. Vodder School-International to do Manual Lymph Drainage. (to recertify, one must return to a class to have one's manual (hand) technique observed evey 2 years).
She enjoys seeing the results of this work, especially when the person she is working on believes in it or is interested in seeing what it can do on his/her body.
Consider Lymphatic Massage solely, or in conjuction with other work (deep tissue massage for example), that Karen does.
