60 minute massage
$65.00 Relaxation Massage. The massage is catered to the client's needs when he/she visits. Duration is One hour. A Relaxation Massage using Deep Tissue, lighter massage strokes, Lymph Drainage, and stretching, (at the client's request). Long smooth strokes typically close the massage, making this a relaxing massage. Comparable techniques: Swedish Massage and Esalen Massage.

 

 

90 minute massage
$90.00 Relaxation Massage. The 60 minute massage, with an additional 30 minutes. It takes 30 minutes to relax on the table, during the massage, the added time gives you more time to fully relax your muscles and soul. My preference is to give (and when I seek a massage, to receive) a 90 minuite massage.

120 minute massage
$120.00 Relaxation Massage. 2 hours. Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Stretching, Manual Lymph Drainage, per clients conditions and request. Pure Bliss.

90 minute Hotel or home visit
90 minute massage on a massage table. Relaxation Massage comprising of a mixture of Swedish, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymph Drainage, and long smooth strokes. Varies based upon the client's condition and his/her preferences that day.

120 minute total Hotel or home visit two people
Two one-hour Relaxation Massages, back-to-back. Swedish, Esalen, Deep Tissue Massage, and long smooth strokes with fantastic hands. No aromatherapy is used, to avoid client allergies. A note to women: men tend to prefer to not have a scent used during a massage.

MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE

60 min - Manual Lymph Drainage

A treatment program for Lymphedema will require many sessions, and possibly bandaging. Your compliance as a patient will ensure a chance for better results. A consultation and medical paperwork, and client's signed consent and agreement will confirm participation in treatment.

Home treatment may be possible, depending on client's condition. Travelers may seek this treatment, but copies of medical paperwork must be faxed or copied at hotel prior to the treatment.

For the healthy client, this is a wonderful treatment to relieve the healthy, but tired traveler's weary body. It will reduce the swelling feet, ankles and legs, and the sore back, following flying and miles of walking around Boston. Manual Lymph Drainage can make small wrinkles much smaller or disappear, (in the opinion of Karen, as observed on her own face after she had received the treatment over the course of several days.) Prior to seeking treatment, Karen recommends calling the Dr. Vodder School in Victoria, British Columbia (Canada), to inquire about the treatment.

Seaweed wrap (1.5hr) & 1.5h Relaxation Massage
Starts with exfolliation with sugar or salt scrub. The scent is the preference of the client. Following exfolliation, seaweed is painted on, and the client is wrapped to produce a warmth and allow the minerals and nutrients to seep into the skin. Client is then given a sponge bath, to remove the seaweed. A 90 minute massage follows the treatment. One can expect to feel dehydrated for a day or so, following this proceedure. This Massage Therapist does not recommend the seaweed wrap for people experiencing dry skin, as the salt in the seaweed may promote further drying. Treatment is for ongoing clients, who have discussed the treatment with the Massage Therapist, and who are very comfortable with their bodies. A shower is not available in the office. Schedule a four hour block of time for this adventure. Park your car accordingly. May schedule early mornings or evenings at 6pm, but not weekend evenings. A discussion with Karen, the massage therapist is required before scheduling the seaweedweed wrap. Alternatively, client may have received several massages before scheduling.

Home/Hotel Salt or sugar scrub, wrap, and 1.5 hour massage
Options available upon discussion. Priced on time including set-up and clean-up needs. The following is a suggestion: This is a salt or sugar scrub, gentle wash, followed by hot herb towels wrapped around the client for 20 minutes. This is then followed by a 90 minute massage. Salt or sugar exfolliate and bring water out of the body. The hot wrap is wonderfully warm and produces a glow or sweat. The massage complements the experience. {Alternatively: look at Manual Lymph Drainage. This will also draw liquid from the body, and it will be a therapeutic technique}.

Palliative Care or Elder, handicapped, recouperating or hospice massage.
$80.00 -- Gentle Massage on a bed for an elder or handicapped individual. Consists of time spent with person and massage and regular massages. This massage is for the regular client, not for the first-time client who is thinking about purchasing massages on a regular basis. Good for someone new to massage, the ill and recovering. May consist partly of Manual Lymph Drainage, and other techniques.
